What You Will Learn
You will learn that using a wind-up to create changes in emotion will add to the impact of your facial acting. You will animate the most expressive feature of any face: the eyebrows. Squashing or stretching eyebrows between facial poses helps the animation feel convincing.
Why Is This Important?
Basic concepts like Squash and Stretch, and Wind-up and Follow-through are applied to the eyebrows in this recipe. We rely on the eyebrows to morph from one pose to another for maximum impact. If you removed the nose, mouth, and eyes from a face, the eyebrows will still get the emotion across. Their importance cannot be emphasized enough. This may seem subtle on playback, but it is very powerful in creating the illusion of emotion.
